J. Barbour & Sons was opened in South Shields in 1894 and since then has diversified, innovated and expanded into the international lifestyle company that we are all familiar with.
Motorcycle clothing, wax jackets, the Ursula suit for submariners, Beacon clothing, the Northumberland shooting clothing range are all products synonymous with this iconic British company who continue to lead the country clothing market. Not content with being market leaders in this, their traditional territory, Barbour continue to look to expand their market share by means of collaboration with designers such as Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida. Luck of Louth may have not been around since 1894 but we have been in business since 1985 and our director first sold the Barbour brand in the 1970's, so we too have a wealth of experience available exclusively in-store to enable our customers to make informed and appropriate buying decisions when choosing Barbour brand products.
